How I Work
My Approach to Counselling
As an HPCSA Registered Counsellor, I work with individuals, couples, and organisations. While my work is guided by professional frameworks, it is also shaped by the person or couple in front of me. In this way, I focus on understanding people’s experiences and how these influence their thoughts, emotions, and relationships.
Scope of My Work
I work with individuals, couples, pre-marital clients, and organisations. In practice, this includes supporting concerns such as stress, anxiety, burnout, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, fertility-related challenges, and workplace wellbeing.
Therapeutic Orientation
My work draws from solution-focused, person-centred, cognitive behavioural, trauma-aware, attachment-based, systems-informed, and Gottman-informed approaches. Rather than following a rigid method, these approaches are used flexibly, depending on what is most helpful at the time.
Way of Working
Overall, I work in a way that balances structure with openness. While sessions are guided, they are not rigid. Instead, space is made to focus on what feels most important in the moment, while still maintaining a professional and supportive frame.

Counselling FAQ's
Frequently Asked Questions
Counselling can be helpful whenever something feels difficult to manage on your own, even if you’re not in crisis. If stress, conflict, emotional strain, or uncertainty is impacting your wellbeing or daily functioning, counselling may provide useful support.
Sessions are structured and guided. You’ll have space to talk, while I help clarify patterns, explore what’s happening, and support you in developing practical ways of responding to challenges. The process is collaborative and paced to feel manageable.
This varies depending on your goals and the nature of the difficulty. Some people benefit from a few focused sessions, while others prefer ongoing support. We review this together as we go.
Medical aid claims may be possible depending on your plan and benefits. It’s recommended that you check directly with your medical aid provider for confirmation.
Sessions can be booked online or by getting in touch directly. If you’re unsure which service is the right fit, you’re welcome to enquire and we can discuss options.
