I am Kaela Sussman, an HPCSA Registered Counsellor based in Johannesburg. I offer counselling in Sandton, Modderfontein, and online, supporting individuals, couples, premarital partners, and organisations through life and relationship challenges.

Curiosity about people has always been a guiding thread in my work. I have always been interested in what shapes us, what keeps certain patterns in place, and what helps people begin to heal or relate differently. This curiosity led me to study psychology and train as a registered counsellor.

My approach is structured, relational, and non-judgemental. It is informed by brain-based understanding and cognitive behavioural frameworks, while still allowing space for each person’s unique experience. In counselling, we explore emotional and relational patterns that may repeat during periods of stress, change, or conflict. As these patterns become clearer, it becomes easier to understand what is happening and consider more intentional ways of responding.
